Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Konosuke Takeshita For IWGP World Heavyweight Title Officially Set For NJPW King Of Pro-Wrestling

The main event for the show is locked in.
Closing out New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Destruction in Kobe show was Ren Narita challenging Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
Sabre Jr. was able to overcome interference from HOUSE OF TORTURE to continue his second IWGP World Heavyweight Title reign. Zack is now looking ahead to NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling on October 13th, where he’ll defend the belt against G1 Climax winner Konosuke Takeshita.
In his post-match comments, Sabre Jr. told Takeshita to enjoy the next few weeks in America because while he’s there, Zack is in Japan representing the company. He listed off some of the non-NJPW dates he has coming up after King of Pro-Wrestling and said he’s going into those as IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.
Below is the updated King of Pro-Wrestling card:
- IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship: Gabe Kidd (c) vs. Yota Tsuji
- IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita
