Another title bout has been added to Wrestle Kingdom 13.
At Revolution Pro Wrestling's 'Uprising' event on Nov. 11, Tomohiro Ishii successfully defended his RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Title against David Starr. Following the match, Ishii was attacked by members of Suzuki-gun. Following the attack, Zack Sabre Jr. announced that he would be cashing in his rematch clause for the RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Title at Wrestle Kingdom 13.
Ishii defeated ZSJ at RevPro WrestleCon 2018 on April 6, 2018. Ishii lost the title to Minoru Suzuki in July, but regained the belt in October. Sabre Jr defeated Ishii during the G1 Climax over the summer.
The RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Title has never been defended at a Wrestle Kingdom event. Ishii recently defended the title at NJPW Power Struggle, defeating Suzuki in his rematch.
Wrestle Kingdom 13 takes place on Jan. 4 from the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. An IWGP Heavyweight Title bout between Kenny Omega and G1 winner Hiroshi Tanahashi is set to headline the event.
