Zelina Vega was complimentary (somewhat) of SmackDown newest Women's Superstars.
Following an abrupt release back in November 2020, Zelina Vega returned to WWE on July 2nd and was entered into the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Appearing on a special edition of The Bump ahead of Money in the Bank, Zelina was asked about her former managerial status and whether or not she sees anything in anyone on the SmackDown roster. She said the following:
"I mean, I will say, not that I see, again, seeing them on my level is just not really there, but I am impressed with Shotzi and Tegan. I am a little impressed with them. They're no rookies, this isn't their first rodeo, but at the end of the day, I was like, 'Okay, you're clearly willing to put your body through whatever, so sometimes that's what it takes, is being able to do whatever you need to do to get the win. I feel like we can see eye to eye on that."
Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox made the move from NXT and debuted as a tag team on the July 9 episode of WWE SmackDown. Over the past two weeks, they have picked up consecutive victories over the Women's Tag Team Champions, Natalya and Tamina.
Zelina couldn't help but poke fun at Shotzi's appearance before moving on to the next topic.
"Have you seen Shotzi? She kind of looks like a cute little booger," Zelina said. "You know, with the green hair and everything. Just a cute little booger. It's great!"
Zelina will face off against Liv Morgan, Natalya, Tamina, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Nikki A.S.H., Asuka in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Fightful will have live coverage of the event today beginning at 4 p.m. PST.
