Zena Sterling: Being The First Ukrainian Woman In The WWE, I Feel Like There’s A Little Bit Of Pressure On Me

Zena Sterling says she feels some pressure being the first-ever female Ukrainian wrestler signed to WWE.

Speaking with TMZ Sports recently, Zena Sterling was asked if she feels she’s speedrunning through life after achieving so many things in a short period.

“I feel like a lot of people are going to be surprised by my answer, but I kind of feel like I’m still behind in a sense, which is probably crazy to hear. But I feel like I always have such high expectations for myself. The way I was raised, I feel like I never give myself a chance to take a break or to lay back and be like, ‘Wow, look at everything that I’ve done.’ It’s always, ‘No, I can have more. I can do more. I can always be better.’ I’m so grateful for the place that I’m in today and how much I have accomplished. But I know that there’s so much left for Zena Olena to accomplish and achieve in the world.”

Zena is the only female wrestler of Ukrainian descent currently signed to WWE. She was asked if she feels any pressure in this position.

“Being the first Ukrainian woman in the WWE, I feel like there’s a little bit of pressure on me, especially because of what is going on in the world right now. I want to make the best representation of my country and represent my people in the best way possible in one of the biggest entertainment brands in the world. I feel like this is the perfect opportunity. Having such a large platform and being able to show my background, where I’m from, and my culture, I think that it’s just a place like no other. I’m super grateful.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the wrestler mentioned Rhea Ripley as a dream match for her. Fans can check her comments here.
