Zilla Fatu Reflects On WWE NXT Debut: “It’s A Memory I’ll Never Forget”

Zilla Fatu opens up about his arrival.

Cruz Montana and Grayson Waller were competing in the main event of the August 11th NXT on The CW to determine who was going to challenge Tony D’Angelo for the NXT Championship.

After Montana connected his ‘Spin the Block’ finisher on Waller, storming the ring was Zilla Fatu. Fatu proceeded to take out both Montana and Waller and then stared down the NXT Champion, who was ringside.

For the first time since his arrival, Fatu spoke about his WWE debut. He said the following on Booker T and Brad Gilmore’s Hall of Fame show:

“I feel blessed, I feel great, and I’m ready to go. Ready to go. Call the play, we gonna run it.”

Fatu went on to share what he was feeling before and after his debut. He said it’s a memory he’ll never forget.

“Man, uce, whenever I pulled up, I already knew what time it was. Long as they called the play, I ran it. I did exactly what was told and I put my flavor on it. I put my flavor on it and we did it like that and we had fun and right before I went out, I just said a quick prayer, you know, to myself, and I knew my dad was there because I felt him. I felt him, and right before I went out, it just happened. I don’t even know how to express it. The slide in, everything I did and then, right before I slid in, I looked at Book. I seen him. I was like, ‘Okay, yup, yup.’ Long as he looking, we good,” Fatu laughed. “But other than that, I couldn’t explain it. It’s a memory I’ll never forget. I’m ready to start this new journey and like I said, you guys better buckle up. It’s gonna be a long ride.”

Cruz Montana and Grayson Waller are appearing on the 8/18 NXT, and both intend to address Zilla.
