WWE-Bound, Tony Nese Thanks Fans On Instagram

After signing a WWE contract in the middle of the ring at EVOLVE 73, Tony Nese posted a lengthy thank you to fans and the EVOLVE promotion Monday.

Nese made the posting on his Instagram account, writing the following:

Thank you EVOLVE and thank you Fans! Personally Evolve has done so much for me. Gabe always believed in me and always presented me with amazing opportunities. Whether it was getting me in front of the right eyes to get a tour in Japan, getting me in the ring with the best talent out there, or, as we witnessed last night, put me in a position to achieve a life long dream, he did whatever he could for me. I am forever grateful. As for the Fans, thank you for supporting us day in and day out. Whether you praised our hard work or got on us when we wouldn't live up to your expectations, I thank you for making me push to get better everyday to entertain as best I can. Although I'm moving on to the next and so far biggest chapter of my career, I am sure, given the relationship between WWE and Evolve, I will see you all sooner than later. - Nese

After more than a decade in wrestling spent primarily on the independent circuit, Nese got his chance with WWE as part of the Cruiserweight Classic tournament this summer, during which he advanced to the second round before losing to Brian Kendrick. Since the tournament, Nese has been making regular appearances on WWE TV even though he was not under contract, competing on NXT as well as part of the cruiserweight division in matches on Raw and Smackdown.
