WWE Cancels Live Event In India, Kevin Owens Off The Tour

The WWE India tour is now just an India date, as one of the shows has been canceled.

WWE has opted to pull the December 8 event in favor of one December 9 "Supershow" in New Delhi. Triple H, who had challenged Jinder Mahal for the December 9 show this weekend, will remain on the event, replacing Kevin Owens.

WWE issued a press release saying "To meet the requests of WWE fans in India, and deliver the biggest main event in the country's history, WWE is combining two nights of family-friendly action into a one-night only, exclusive Supershow."

WWE has spent the better part of 2017 pushing Canadian-Indian champion Jinder Mahal to help them break into the market, which was met with mixed reactions. He would lose the WWE Championship just last week to AJ Styles.
