WWE NXT Results 5/31 Tommaso Ciampa Addresses The Full Sail Faithful & More!

This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE NXT! Tonight after turning on his long time tag team partner, Tommaso Ciampa addresses why he turned on Johnny Gargano at NXT TakeOver Chicago. Bobby Roode looks to lay out his glorious vision for NXT and much more so be sure to come back here at 8PM EST for what should be a great show from Full Sail University!

-Tommaso Ciampa comes out to the ring to start the show and invites Johnny to the ring, but he's not there tonight. Ciampa asks if the crowd wants to replace Gargano before saying that he'll elaborate on what it's like to be replaced and talks about his injury. Tommaso says that he got even more injured during the ladder match and that Gargano would have replaced him in a heartbeat and he wasn't going to let that happen. Ciampa goes on to say that if he was going away, then Johnny would be going away for even longer. Tommaso then says that TakeOver Chicago was his moment and that the NXT ring is not replaceable and neither is he and neither is Gargano.

Ciampa says the fans are replaceable and that he doesn't need them and never has needed them and that when he returns he will be the most dangerous person on the roster and that he is professional wrestling before leaving.

Pete Dunne vs Danny Burch

Burch tries to keep Pete grounded with his grappling skills before dropping him with a shoulder block before putting him in a cross face, but Pete is quick to the ropes as we go to commercial.

We come back to Pete in control of Pete, the tables having turned during the commercial until Burch hits an enzuigiri into an exploder suplex and a right hand for a near fall. Burch gets another near fall from a headbutt before Pete comes back with a Saito suplex and an X-Plex for a near fall of his own. Pete turns Burch inside out before Burch hits a draping DDT for another near fall. Pete hits a German suplex into the turnbuckle before hitting The Bitter End for the pin and the win.

Winner: Pete Dunne via pinfall

-Pete says this is his division after the match, insulting the former champion Tyler Bate before leaving.

-We get a quick interview segment with Velveteen Dream as we go to commercial where he talks about not feeling the vibe in the arena.

-We come back to a video package for the Authors of Pain where Paul Elerring talks about how the book of pain has been shut and the book of dominance has been opened.

Andrade Almas vs Cesar Bononi

Almas chops Cesar repeatedly to start the match before he catches Almas coming in and hits Almas with a series of punches and knees. Almas hits a neckbreaker to stop his momentum, then they clash heads when they both run the ropes before he hits a clothesline in the corner. Almas slaps Cesar before playing to the crowd, then Cesar counters a suplex with a roll up for the pin and the win.

Winner: Cesar Bononi via pinfall

-We get a video package for an angry Hideo Itami after he lost to Bobby Roode at NXT TakeOver Chicago where he talks to Kassius Ohno, then shows them talking from earlier today.

Roderick Strong & Kassius Ohno vs SANITY

Strong and Eric start it off with Strong hitting him with a series of right hands and chops before hitting a backbreaker. Ohno gets tagged in as soon as Wolfe does, then SANITY double team Ohno. Young and Wolfe tag in and out frequently before Ohno comes back only for Wolfe to trip him up. Eric beats on Ohno with clubbing blows before tossing him out of the ring as we go to commercial.

Ohno is double teamed as we come back from commercial,, Young and Wolfe frequently tagging in and out before Wolfe hits a suplex for a quick two count. Ohno fights out of the corner, but Wolfe drops him with a boot for another quick two count before Young is tagged back in. Young hits a neckbreaker before Ohno comes back and manages to tag in Strong. Strong takes out Eric at ringside, then hits a backbreaker for a near fall before Young gets a blind tag and hits a leaping neckbreaker for a near fall. Ohno comes in and drops Wolfe before Young sends Ohno out of the ring, then Jose takes out Dain when he tries to interfere.

Strong then hits Eric with The End of Heartache for the pin and the win.

Winner: Roderick Strong & Kassius Ohno via pinfall
