WWE Officially Cancels June 6 NXT Event In Manchester Arena Due To Recent Bombing

On Monday of this week, tragedy struck the Manchester Arena in the UK when a terrorist detonated a bomb at an Ariana Grande concert, killing 22 and injuring 116. 75 of those injured remain in the hospital at this time, including 23 in intensive care.

A problem arose for the WWE, which had been scheduled to run an NXT Live Event on June 6.

Approximately one hour ago, the WWE's UK Twitter account Tweeted out this Statement:

Out of respect for all those affected by the Manchester tragedy, WWE is cancelling the NXT event on Tuesday, June 6 at the Manchester Arena, and offering fans who purchased tickets to the show a full refund at point of purchase and giving the option to receive a free ticket to the NXT show on Wednesday, June 7 at First District Arena in Leeds.

Our Superstars will be in Manchester on June 6 visiting with those affected by the tragedy and WWE is making a donation to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.

We look forward to returning tot the Manchester Arena on Monday, November 6 for Raw and Tuesday, November 7 for SmackDown Live.
