Becky Lynch: The Man Is Back Where She Belongs, As Your WWE Women's World Champion

The show is starting off with an episode of Miz TV, with The Miz, Maryse, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas already in the ring. The Miz demands that Jason Jordan comes out so he can finish what Jordan started last week, WWE Raw GM Kurt Angle makes his way out instead to say Jordan isn’t appearing on Miz TV. Angle also announces Jordan versus Curtis Axel for tonight, Angle then brings out WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman as the guest for Miz TV tonight.

Heyman grabs the microphone and Miz interrupts him before he can speak, Miz says that he runs things around here. Miz talks about how Lesnar is guaranteed to lose at WWE Summerslam, Miz reiterates what Heyman said about he and Lesnar leaving the WWE is Lesnar loses at Summerslam. Miz says he would put his money on anybody else but Lesnar if he were betting on who would win at Summerslam, Heyman finally gets to speak and he asks Miz if he and his wife ever had the chance to role play.

Heyman then says that Miz is Roman Reigns and Bo Dallas is Samoa Joe and Curtis Axel is going to be Braun Strowman, while Lesnar will preview what he is going to do at WWE Summerslam. Lesnar takes out The Miztourage, Lesnar delivers an F-5 to The Miz and the Miztourage.

Seth Rollins is then shown walking around backstage.

Seth Rollins vs. Sheamus w/Cesaro

The match begins with Rollins nailing Sheamus with a drop kick as the bell sounded, Rollins knocks Sheamus out of the ring. Rollins goes for a dive and Sheamus catches him, Rollins escapes and takes Sheamus out with a leap off the ring apron. Sheamus gets back in the ring and Rollins nails him with a springboard clothesline for a near fall, Sheamus grabs a charging Rollins and he crotches him on the top rope before knocking him to the arena floor. Sheamus follows Rollins to the arena floor and he slams him on the ring apron as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Rollins nailing Sheamus with a jaw breaker.

Sheamus recovers by dropping Rollins and then nailing him with 10 Beats Of The Bowry, Sheamus drags Rollins back into the ring before popping him with a Finlay roll. Sheamus misses the Brough Kick and Rollins nails him with an enzaguri, Sheamus recovers and drops a charging Rollins. Sheamus goes to the top rope and Rllins follows him up there, Sheamus knocks Rollins off the ropes and Rollins gets back up there to nail him with a hurricarana. Rollins would then catch Sheamus with a super kick for a near fall, Rollins also attacks Sheamus with rapid fire kicks to the face.

Rollins follows that up by nailing Sheamus with a sling blade, Cesaro distracts Rollins and Sheamus rolls him up for the three count.

Winner: Sheamus w/Cesaro

After the match, Sheamus and Cesaro are celebrating on the arena floor until Rollins catches them with a suicide dive. Sheamus and Cesaro turn the tables by double teaming Rollins, Sheamus and Cesaro toss Rollins into the barricade before bringing him into the ring. Sheamus and Cesaro catch Rollins with their finisher to end the beating.

Seth Rollins is limping around backstage when he bumps into Dean Ambrose, who says he looks like a real jerk for not helping Rollins tonight. Rollins says Ambrose is a real jerk, Rollins wants to know what he can do to make things right and Ambrose says there is nothing he can do.

Backstage, Raw GM Kurt Angle is told by the doctors that Curtis Axel cannot compete tonight. Angel finds a wrestler to face him tonight as a replacement.

Jason Jordan vs. Jean-Pierre Goulet

The match begins with Jordan scoring a trip takedown on Goulet, Goulet gets up and Jordan slams him to the ground a few times. Goulet cracks Jordan with a few strikes and Jordan slams him into the corner, Jordan then catches Goulet with an overhead release suplex. Jordan then hits Goulet with a spear in the corner followed by an elevated neck breaker for the three count.

Winner: Jason Jordan

An injured Bayley is shown walking around backstage.

Bayley, with her injured arm in a sling, makes her way to the ring to address the injury she suffered last week on WWE Raw. Highlights are shown of Bayley’s injury at the hands of Nia Jax, Bayley admits she cannon watch the footage of her injury because it makes her mad. Bayley says she finished the match to prove to everybody that she has the fire to defeat WWE Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, Bayley also thanks the fans for their support. Bayley says she thinks Sasha Banks will win the mini-tournament to face Alexa Bliss at WWE Summerlsam. Sasha Banks hits the ring to embrace Bayley and her match is up next.

WWE Raw Women’s Title #1 Contender Tournament Opening Round Match

Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox vs. Emma

The match begins with Banks attacking Fox and that allows Emma to jump her from behind, Banks throws Emma out of the ring before eating a boot to the face from Fox. Fox misses a charge in the corner and Banks rolls her up for a near fall, Emma drags Banks out of the ring before slamming her back on the ringside edge. Fox gets traps in the ropes and Emma kicks her in the face, Emma traps Fox in the ropes while bending her backwards. Fox recovers and she attacks Emma with some strikes in the corner, Fox then tosses Emma across the ring.

Fox then catches Emma with a northern lights suplex for a near fall, Emma shoves Fox into the ropes and Banks returns to catch Emma with a shining wizard. Banks attacks both of her opponents with various knee strikes in both corner, Emma knocks Banks out of the ring and gets a near fall on Fox. Emma gets mad and she throws Fox in the corner before landing a cross body block, Banks drags Emma out of the ring and drops her with a forearm strike. Banks nails Fox with a back stabber into the Bank Statement, Emma breaks it up and gets caught in a Bank Statement to force a tap out.

Winner: Sasha Banks

Braun Strowman is backstage being interviewed by Renee Young, Strowman says he likes feeling Roman Reigns bones crack and he loves reminding Reigns just how dominant he is.

Enzo Amore makes his way to the ring while doing his usual shtick on the microphone. Big Show also makes his way to the ring after an introduction from Enzo, Enzo talks about Show knocking out Big Cass last week on WWE Raw. Show says Cass needs to learn some respect, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson make their way to the ring to challenge Enzo and Show to a match. Enzo accepts the challenge and the match is up next.

Big Show & Enzo Amore vs. Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows

The match begins with Show dropping both of his opponents and knocking them out of the ring as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Enzo eating a clothesline from Gallows. Anderson tags in and he nails Enzo with a few knee drops for a near fall, Anderson then wrenches away on the arm of Enzo. Anderson would then misses a charge to the corner, Gallows tags in and he stops Enzo from tagging Show in. Enzo tries fighting back and Gallows kicks him in the face, Big Cass makes his way towards the ring as the match continues on.

Gallows then kicks a distracted Show off of the ring apron, Anderson tags in and he nails Enzo with a running kick to the face for a three count.

Winners: Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows

After the match, Big Cass lays out the Big Show with a kick to the face, Enzo Amore attacks Cass with a suicide dive from out of nowhere. Cass recovers and he throws Enzo into the barricade, Cass stalks Enzo until Show drops him with a knockout punch.

Highlights from the Finn Balor/Bray Wyatt confrontation from last weeks WWE Raw airs next.

Finn Balor is shown backstage.

Finn Balor makes his way to the ring to address his issues with Bray Wyatt, Balor asks the fans if they saw him beat up Wyatt last week on Raw. Balor says that Wyatt talks a lot and also gives him the creeps, Balor talks about how Wyatt wants people to fear him. Balor offers Wyatt some advice and that is to not miss his next attack against him, the lights go out and Wyatt is in the ring when they come back on. Balor is propped on the top rope and he avoids a charging Wyatt before kicking him in the face, Balor then hits Wyatt with a sling blade. The lights go out again and Wyatt is gone when they come back on, Wyatt appears on the big screen and he says he knows why the fans like Balor so much. Wyatt promises to rip Balor from the heavens before telling him to run.

Cesaro w/Sheamus vs. Dean Ambrose

The match begins with the two competitors getting in a shoving contest, Ambrose and Cesaro do a little chain wrestling with Ambrose coming out on top. Ambrose then drops Cesaro with a shoulder tackle, Cesaro tries holding Ambrose on the mat for some pin attempts. Ambrose springs up to his feet and he catches Cesaro with a monkey flip, Cesaro backs Ambrose into the corner while mauling him with strikes. Ambrose recovers and he drops Cesaro with a clothesline, Ambrose goes to the top rope and Cesaro drops him face first on the top turnbuckle.

Cesaro would then kick Ambrose into the ropes before landing a clothesline for a near fall, Cesaro slows things down by holding Ambrose in a chin lock. Ambrose recovers and he eventually drops Cesaro with a neck breaker, Ambrose knocks Cesaro out of the ring before catching him with a dive. Sheamus distracts Ambrose and Cesaro catches him with a running European uppercut as we go to a commercial break, we return from the action to see Cesaro holding Ambrose in an abdominal stretch. Ambrose breaks free and Cesaro drapes him neck first on the top rope, Cesaro goes to the top rope and Ambrose follows him up there.

Cesaro knocks Ambrose off the ropes and Ambrose gets back up there, Cesaro nails Ambrose with headbutts to crotch him on the top rope. Ambrose recovers and he eventually drops Cesaro with a superplex, Ambrose then starts attacking Cesaro with a series of strikes. Cesaro quickly stops Ambrose by nailing him with a back breaker for a near fall, Cesaro continuously attacks Ambrose with forearm strikes to the back. Ambrose and Cesar have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Cesaro grabs Ambrose and he holds him in a over the shoulder back breaker. Ambrose escapes and he attacks Cesaro with some more strikes, Ambrose eventually drops Cesaro with a clothesline.

Cesaro recovers to hit Ambrose with a European uppercut, Cesaro then catches Ambrose with a series of gut wrench suplexes for a near fall. Cesaro goes for the Neutralizer and Ambrose back body drops him, Ambrose goes for the Dirty Deeds ad Ceasro counters with a sharp shooter attempt. Ambrose then sends a charging Cesaro to the arena floor, Ambrose goes for a suicide dive and Cesaro catches him with a European uppercut for a near fall. Cesaro then hits Ambrose with a spear in the corner, Cesaro goes to the top rope and he drags Ambrose up there with him.

Ambrose knocks Cesaro off the top rope before catching him with a roll up for a near fall, Ambrose and Cesaro have another striking exchange. Ambrose eventually clobbers Cesaro with a rebound lariat, Sheamus distracts Ambrose and that allows Cesaro to lock him in the sharp shooter. Ambrose eventually gets to the ropes to break the submission attempt, Ambrose would then propel a charging Cesaro out of the ring. Ambrose would then connect with a top rope elbow drop onto Cesaro, Ambrose throws Cesaro back into the ring and Sheamus tries distracting Ambrose. Ambrose catches Cesaro with a roll up for the three count.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

After the match, Cesaro and Sheamus attack Dean Ambrose until Seth Rollins makes the save. Ambrose gets up and he has a face to face with Rollins, Ambrose extends the fist to Rollins and Rollins walks away.

In the locker room, Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews are celebrating with Akira Tozawa when Neville arrives. Neville says he is scouting his opponent for WWE Summerslam before walking away.

Ariya Daivari vs. Akira Tozawa

The match begins with Tozawa doing a little work on the arm of Daivari, Daivari recoers quickly and he clobbers Tozawa with a clothesline. Daivari immediately goes to work on the injured arm of Tozawa, Daivari nails Tozawa with a neck breaker for a near fall. Daivari is then applying the seated full nelson on Tozawa, Daivari continues working over the arm of Tozawa. Tozawa recovers and he knocks Daivari out of the ring, Tozawa follows that up by nailing Daivari with a suicide dive for a near fall. Tozawa then catches Daivari with a belly to back suplex followed by a top rope senton bomb for the three count.

Winner: Akira Tozawa

Renee Young interviews Roman Reigns, who says he didn’t watch Brock Lesnar’s appearance on Miz TV and then he says that he will be the last man standing tonight.

WWE Raw Women’s Title #1 Contender Tournament Opening Round Match

Mickie James vs. Nia Jax vs. Dana Brooke

The match begins with Jax tossing Brooke to the ground, Jax then tosses James clear across the ring in a display of power. Jax then takes James and she tosses her right into Brooke, Jax charges at James and she winds up crashing into the ring post. Brooke and James get into a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, James recovers and she nails Brooke with a neck breaker. James goes for a DDT and Jax runs over her, Brooke starts attacking Jax until she gets shoved to the ground. Jax then clobbers a charging Brooke with a clothesline, James then catches Jax with a dive off the top rope for a near fall.

Jax gets angry and she tosses James back out of the ring, Brooke tries taking Jax down and Jax tosses her to the mat before landing a leg drop for the three count.

Winner: Nia Jax

A Goldust video airs next, Goldust asks us if we missed him because he has so much love to give and he wants to share his next masterpiece with us at WWE Summerslam.

 

Big Cass finds Raw GM Kurt Angle backstage, Cass wants a match with Big Show at WWE Summerslam without Enzo Amore around. Angle makes the match between Big Cass versus Big Show at WWE Summerslam, with Enzo suspended above the ring in a cage.

Last Man Standing Match

Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns

The match begins with the two meeting on the entrance ramp and brawling, Strowman throws Reigns in the barricade and then into the ring. Strowman stats decimating Reigns with a series of strikes, Reigns tries getting up and Strowman drops him with a headbutt. Strowman follows that up by cracking Reigns with a back elbow strike, Strowman would then attack Reigns with an Irish whip into the corner. Reigns starts fighting back and Strowman drops him with a single blow, Strowman uses a shoulder tackle to knock Reigns out of the ring as we go to a commercial break.

The action resumes with Strowman throwing Reigns into the barricade, Strowman then tosses Reigns back into the ring. Reigns starts fighting back and attacks Strowman with clothesline strikes, Reigns then hits Strowman with a few running boots to the face. Reigns grabs the ring steps and he attacks Strowman with them multiple times, Strowman gets up and he sends a charging Reigns into the corner before landing a power bomb. Reigns gets up and he nails Strowman with a superman punch, Reigns charges at Strowman and Strowman clobbers him with a drop kick.

Strowman charges at Reigns and he crashes into the ring post to the arena floor as Reigns gets out of the way, Strowman gets up and Reigns catches him with a drop kick. Reigns finds a table and he brings it into the ring, Reigns goes for another drop kick and Strowman catches him with a clothesline. Strowman gets back into the ring and he sets up the table in the ring, Reigns gets angry and he attacks Strowman with a plethora of strikes, Reigns then puts Strowman through the table with a Samoan drop. Strowman and Reigns beat the 10 count before rolling out of the ring, Reigns charges at Strowman and Strowman throws an office chair at him.

Strowman and Reigns battle into the crowd while exchanging a few blows, Reigns bashes the head of Strowman into the announce table. Reigns then catches a dazed Strowman with another drop kick, Strowman gets up and he tosses Reigns into the LED screen. Reigns gets up and Strowman smashes him right back into the LED screen, Reigns escapes a power bomb from Strowman to nail him with a few superman punches. Reigns charges at Strowman and Strowman kicks him in the face, Reigns gets up and he spears Strowman on the arena floor.

The referee starts the count and Samoa Joe interferes by locking Reigns in the rear naked choke, Strowman makes it back to his feet and Reigns doesn’t beat the count to end the match.

Winner: Braun Strowman
