WWE Smackdown Live Coverage 1/24 The Road To The Rumble!

This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE Smackdown! Live! We are on the last stop on the road to The Royal Rumble in San Antonio this Sunday night, but first there is a grudge match in our main event tonight that must be settled as Randy Orton and Luke Harper look to prove themselves to The New Face of Fear, Bray Wyatt! AJ Styles looks to call out John Cena, we will find out why Mickie James has aligned herself with Alexa Bliss and Kalisto looks to get revenge on Dolph Ziggler and much more so be sure to come back here at 8PM EST for all of tonight's action!

-We open with The Wyatt Family coming out to the ring and Bray takes a seat at ringside for the match.

Randy Orton vs Luke Harper

They lock up for a clean break then exchange right hands before Randy sends Luke to the outside with a back elbow. Randy hits his draping DDT once he's back in the ring then teases the RKO, but Luke ducks out of the ring. Randy backdrops Luke on the barricade then slams his face into the announce table before dropping him back first onto it next. Luke takes out Randy then Bray rolls both of them back into the ring as we go to commercial. 

Randy catches Luke on th top rope and hits a superplex for a quick 2 count as Bray looks on at ringside. Luke gets a close 2 count off of a roll up then hits a superkick for another close 2 count as Bray appears amused. Randy rolls him up then Luke goes for his finisher, but Randy hits an RKO out of no where for the pin and the win.

Winner: Randy Orton via pinfall

-After the match Bray shakes Randy's hand then offers to help up Luke who takes his hand then hits him with Sister Abigail. 

-Mickie James comes out and explains why she aligned with Alexa Bliss, saying that the Women's Revolution is the problem and that they are acting like everything she sacrificed and achieved when she was with the company before. Mickie says that Alexa has been fighting the self-righteousness of the Women's Revolution. Becky comes out and attacks Mickie before Alexa shows up and they double team Becky. 

-We then have James Ellsworth and Carmella shopping for clothes. He tries on various outfits for comedic relief and Carmella settles on a gold track suit, a ball cap and a chain.

Over The Top Rope Challenge

The Vaudevillians are eliminated immediately then Curt Hawkins is then Viktor and Heath Slater are eliminated. Mojo then eliminates Rhyno and Konnor as he is left with Breezango. Mojo then eliminates them for the win.

Winner: Mojo Rawley

-Then we get a video package for Natalya attacking Nikki earlier today before getting a plug AJ Styles calling out John Cena next as we go to commercial.

-AJ comes out and complains about how far back he is in the Royal Ruble poster. AJ then asks Cena to come out to the ring and he does. AJ shows a video of Cena on the Today Show and how he's just a guy from Atlanta, saying that Cena forgot who he was. Cena talks about how much AJ is complaining about respect and says that he's earned respect. Cena says the only reason AJ has the belt is because he lets him and that he's like every guy who came before him. Cena then says there is only one John Cena and he's a bad bad man and that his time is now and that AJ will realize that this Sunday.

Dolph Ziggler vs Kalisto

Kalisto is aggressive early, but Dolph hits him with a neckbreaker for a quick 1 count. Kalisto drops Dolph then Dolph superkicks him in mid-air for the pin and the win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler via pinfall

-After the match Dolph grabs a chair and goes to attack Kalisto again, but JBL distracts him before Apollo Crews attacks him from behind. 

Naomi vs Natalya

-Natalya never shows up as she's been attacked backstage by Nikki.

Winner: No Contest

-Alexa Bliss comes out and asks who Naomi is and who she thinks she is. Alexa says that Naomi isn't worth her time then leaves as we go to commercial.

The Miz vs Dean Ambrose Intercontinental Championship Lumberjack Match

They start by taking turns tossing each other out of the ring then Miz stomps on Dean once he's back in the ring. Dean then clotheslines Miz over th top rope then the faces beat on Miz before rolling him back into the ring for a quick 2 count as we go to commercial.

Miz hits Dean with a right hand then Dean goes for his rebound lariat, but the heels drag him out and beat on him. Dean gets back into the ring and rolls up Miz for a quick 2 count before Miz tosses him back out of the ring. Miz hits a DDT once Dean is back in the ring then Miz hits him with a series of kicks before Dean rolls him up for a quick 2 count. Dean is sent back out of the ring then hits an elbow drop off the top rope for a close 2 count. Miz hits Dean with a running knee for a close 2 count of his own then dropkicks him in the corner repeatedly. Dean sends Miz out of the ring then dives off the top rope and takes everyone out at ringside. Dean turns Miz inside out with a lariat then the ring turns into chaos as everyone gets in the ring then Corbin clears it before Dean hits Dirty Deeds for the pin and the win.

Winner: Dean Ambrose via pinfall
