This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE Smackdown! Live! We have a packed show tonight as in our main event AJ Styles will square off against Luke Harper in a number one contenders match for the WWE World Championship after the draw that occurred last week during the battle royal match where both men went over the top rope and touched the floor at the same time. We also have Becky Lynch and Mickie James in a two out of three falls match, John Cena is on Miz TV and much more so be sure to come back here at 8PM EST!
-We open with Shane and Daniel watching the results of last week's battle royal over and over before AJ shows up. AJ says he'd love to just go onto Wrestlemania, making fun of Luke who comes up right behind him. All Luke says is thank you before he leaves, Daniel and Shane whispering to each other.
-The Miz and Maryse come out for Miz TV then introduce John Cena. Cena comes out and grabs a mic to talk, but Miz has his mic cut. Miz talks about what he believes were opportunities that Cena stole from him. Miz says that he's more talented and a harder worker than Cena before the crowd starts chanting Cena. Miz then says that he's not the other guy, that he is The Miz and that Cena is jealous of him. Miz talks about what he calls the hypocrisy of Cena to talk down to Miz about doing movies then doing them himself and that he's the one doing the media and everything else to make Smackdown! Live the must see show, not him. Cena then mocks Miz before saying that he wouldn't face Miz at Mania if he had a choice about it, he'd face The Undertaker. Cena then goes onto say that Miz has stolen moves and personalities of various people including Chris Jericho and AJ Styles. Maryse slaps Cena, then Nikki comes out to the ring, but Miz and Maryse quickly leave.
Becky Lynch vs Mickie James 2 out of 3 Falls Match
They start off aggressive then Becky sends Mickie out of the ring as we go to commercial.
Mickie is in control as we come back until Becky comes back and drops Mickie repeatedly. Mickie counters an attempted exploder suplex with a face buster in the turnbuckle then hits a DDT for the first pin of the match as we go to commercial.
Becky drops Mickie with a spinning roundhouse kick, but Mickie counters with a flapjack then Becky rolls her up when she comes off of the top rope and misses for the second fall. Mickie goes right after Becky and Becky hits her with an exploder suplex before Alexa comes out to ringside. Alexa distracts the referee when Becky locks in the Disarmer, then Becky sends Mickie into Alexa and knocks her off of the apron before Becky puts her in the disarmer for the tap and the win.
Winner: Becky Lynch
-Luke Harper cuts a promo backstage, talking about he's good now and how he sees what true evil is. Luke then says that Bray will be very afraid of him. Bray then appears on screen and says that he hopes the best man win and talks about the belt as we go to commercial.
-We then have Alexa being interviewed backstage about her interfering in the match earlier. Next we have AJ interviewed about his match in the main event.
Luke Harper vs AJ Styles WWE World Championship Number One Contender Match
Luke is in control early, showing off his strength, AJ going out of the ring to regroup. Luke Goes after AJ, AJ tries to attack him, but Luke sees it coming and sends AJ into the barricade, then the steps. Luke rolls AJ back into the ring, but AJ rolls out of the other side and starts to go back out after him, AJ hitting a Pele kick when he does. Luke makes his comeback and hits a senton then a lariat that turns AJ inside out for a near fall. AJ then falls out of the ring as Luke plays to the crowd, Luke diving out of the ring and sending into the announce table and behind it, grabbing and tossing AJ back into the ring before going for a powerbomb, AJ countering with an huricanrrana. AJ hits Luke with a series of strikes only for Luke to drop him for quick 2 count as we go to commercial.
Luke hits a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall as we come back, then AJ hits a phenomenal forearm for the pin and the win.
Winner: AJ Styles via pinfall
-After the match Shane comes out and says that AJ didn't win because Luke's foot was on the ropes. Luke sends AJ out of the ring and AJ argues with Shane before Luke accidentally superkicks him when AJ gets out of the way. AJ then sends Luke back into the steps then hits a springboard 450 for the pin and the win.
Winner Again: AJ Styles via pinfall
-We then have James Ellsworth and Carmella backstage as we go to commercial.
-We come back to AJ and Daniel talking backstage, Daniel congratulating him for his win.
Dean Ambrose vs Curt Hawkins
-Dean hits Curt with Dirty Deeds before the match starts then gets on the mic and talks about Baron Corbin and how he attacked him. Dean then says for Corbin to come out to the ring, but he shows up on the minitron. Corbin and Dean talk trash back and forth before we go to commercial.
Winner: Match never started
Dolph Ziggler vs Apollo Crews Chairs Match
Crews attacks Dolph before the match starts then rolls him into the ring as the match starts, Crew dropping him with a clothesline then hitting a belly to back suplex that sends Dolph out of the ring. Crews gets back in the ring with a chair, then Dolph attacks him and hits him with a neckbreaker for a quick 2 count. Crews then dropkicks Dolph before he rolls back out of the ring, Crews hitting an Asai moonsault off the apron as we go to commercial.
Dolph is in control as we come back, then Crews hits a jawbreaker and thrust kicks him when he grabs a chair. Crews hits Dolph with a forearm then hits a standing moonsault with a chair on top of Dolph for a quick 2 count. Dolph gets a quick 2 count off of a roll up then Crews back drops Dolph onto a chair for a near fall. Crews sets a chair up, but Dolph hits a drop toe hold into the chair, then drops him onto the chair for the pin and the win.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler via pinfall
-Bray Wyatt comes out and talks about winning the belt and facing AJ Styles at Wrestlemania. We then have Randy backstage talking about various things then takes out a pick axe, Randy talking about Sister Abigail and saying that she was buried right where he stands. Randy asks how long it has been since she died, saying that all is left is her spirit. Randy says he sees the human side of Bray and his fear, saying that he's going to burn the spirit of Sister Abigail. Randy says that he will become the master and Bray the servant before putting gasoline all over the room. Randy pours gas in the grave then pours more of it around before closing the door rand leaving the house. Randy then pours it outside and lights a match before setting the house on fire.
