This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE Smackdown! Live. Tonight Shane McMahon will respond to what Kevin Owens had to say last week, Shinsuke Nakamura will be in the building to address what Jinder Mahal has been doing the last few weeks and more so be sure to come back here 8 PM EST for all of the action!
-Kevin Owens comes out and talks about Shane before Sami Zayn comes out and Kevin chatises him before Sami says that he took the high road to the WWE and did everything the right way. Daniel Bryan then comes out and makes a match between them for later tonight as we go to commercial.
Tye Dillinger vs Baron Corbin
Tye immediately knocks Corbin out of the ring and to the floor as soon as the match starts as we go to commercial.
Tye rolls Corbin up for a near fall as we come back from commercial, then Corbin hits a backbreaker before playing to the crowd and pointing at AJ on commentary. Tye superkicks Corbin before hitting a running knee for a near fall, then Corbin goes shoulder first into the ring steps when he tries to spear Tye. Corbin throws water in the face of AJ before sending Tye into AJ, then gets back in the ring. Corbin then wins by count out.
Winner: Baron Corbin via count out
-After the match Corbin challenges AJ to a title shot at Hell in a Cell before leaving as we go to commercial.
-Jinder Mahal comes out to the ring and talks about Shinsuke Nakamura and for the third week in a row mocks and says racist and xenophobic remarks before Shinsuke appears on the screen, then comes out to the ring and they attack and gang up on Shinsuke. They get back in the ring and Shinsuke kills the Singh brothers before hitting the Kinshasa, sending Jinder out of the ring. Shinsuke then celebrates and plays to the crowd as we go to commercial.
The Usos vs Hype Bros
The Usos double team Mojo to start the match before Zack tags in and hits a neckbreaker for a quick two count. Mojo gets the blind tag, but Zack is upset and they argue before the Usos capitalize and send Zack off of the top rope and to the floor. The Usos then hit a splash off of the top rope for the pin and the win.
Winner: The Usos via pinfall
-Aiden English is in the ring to host Rusev's celebration where he will get the key to his home town in Bulgaria. Aiden introduces Rusev before singing the Bulgarian national anthem. The Mayor of the town talks in Bulgarian to a chorus of boos before Rusev is given a giant key and that September 26th is national Rusev day in Bulgaria. Rusev shows his match with Randy from last week before Randy shows up out of nowhere and kills Aiden, then RKO's Rusev.
Charlotte vs Carmella
Charlotte shoves Carmella before taking her down and teasing a submission, but Carmella counters and hits a frankensteiner before playing to the crowd as we go to commercial.
Carmella is in control as we come back from commercial, hitting a reverse DDT for a near fall before Charlotte rolls her up for a near fall of her own. Charlotte then drops Carmella with a boot for the pin and the win.
Winner: Charlotte via pinfall
-After the match Natalya comes out and talks about their match at Hell in a Cell before leaving as we go to commercial.
-Dolph Ziggler comes out to the ring dressed like The Undertaker before Bobby Roode comes out and mocks Dolph before Bobby seemingly makes a match between them for Hell in a Cell before leaving as we go to commercial.
Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens
They brawl to start the match before getting out of the ring and Kevin sends Sami into the barricade repeatedly before stomping on him. Kevin rolls Sami back in the ring before Sami drops him with a clothesline, but Kevin sends him back out of the ring. Sami drops Kevin with another clothesline at ringside before we see that Shane is in the building and headed to the ring as we go to commercial.
Kevin is in control as we come back from commercial until Sami hits a tornado DDT. They counter each other before Sami hits a blue thunder bomb for a near fall. They get out of the ring and brawls around ringside until Kevin hits a powerbomb onto the apron and the referee is forced to call for the bell.
Winner: No contest due to referee stoppage
-Shane comes out to attack Kevin, but Kevin tosses Sami into him before escaping through the crowd as we go off the air.
