Most of the newsworthy developments occurred on NXT events. Kimber Lee and Heidi Lovelace made her in-ring debuts since officially reporting to WWE. Meanwhile, Lana returned to the ring for the first time in more than a month.
On Smackdown, Naomi returned to the ring for the first time in nearly two months. She suffered an ankle injury, but during her time on the sideline, expressed frustration over the way she was being used.
Meanwhile, on Raw, Roman Reigns no longer has the U.S. Title but he continues to get the best of Kevin Owens. Reigns, who has been facing Owens in the main event at Raw shows for several weeks, bested Owens again in a series of non-title street fights/
