The Young Bucks Step Up To The Golden Lovers

The storyline continues to build intrigue.

The dissension of one of the most impressive stables in professional wrestling today, The Bullet Club, continues to unfold. During Night 2 of NJPW's 'Honor Rising' event, "The Golden Lovers", Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi took on the team of Cody & Marty Scurll. The newly reunited Ibushi and Omega would come out victorious in the bout and post-match, "The Cleaner" would cut a promo that would draw the attention of the former ROH World Tag Team Champions, The Young Bucks.

Matt & Nick Jackson made their way to the ring and announced that they would be leaving behind trying to capture their 8th IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles, as the duo have now moved up to the heavyweight division. This announcement allows for a potential match between The Young Bucks and The Golden Lovers to happen. After the Bucks made the announcement, Omega questioned if that was a challenge, but did not shy away from the fact that it is indeed a dream match.

During the post-show press conference, the former IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion would state that Matt & Nick Jackson are still dear to him, but just because of their friendship, that does not mean that he & Ibushi will back away from any challenge presented to them. In a recent 'Being The Elite' episode which is featured in the video above, The Young Bucks and The Golden Lovers had another meeting in the backstage area and voiced their opinions about what is currently going on between the two parties.
