McIntyre commented on re-signing in a post on social media, as he wrote that he trusted Triple H when he brought him back in 2017. McIntyre also stated that he trusts Triple H to lead the evolution of the industry going forward.

McIntyre has cemented his status as a top star in WWE; he feuded with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins on the road to WrestleMania XL and ultimately beat him to win the title. CM Punk then attacked McIntyre and cost him the championship, as Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on him.

After a confrontation on the April 29 episode of WWE Raw, Drew McIntyre sent a message to CM Punk. More information is available here.
