WWE NXT (4/16/2024).

  • Vic Joseph & Booker T welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening match.
  • Noam Dar (w/ Jakara Jackson, Lash Legend & Oro Mensah) def. DIJAK via Pinfall (Nova Roller/ Running Gamonguri).
  • NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov spoke with Ava backstage, where Ava said she wanted Dragunov to face an opponent of his choosing. Instead, Dragunov asked for an Open Challenge for tonight, which Ava granted.
  • Tatum Paxley had a vignette where she said that she had been keeping an eye on the history of the NXT Women’s Championship, but said that she had a real affection for Lyra Valkyria and tried to do anything for her to keep the title; however, Paxley said that Valkyria means nothing to get now that she does not have the hold and claimed that Roxanne Perez is now in her way.

  • Lola Vice def. Sol Ruca via Pinfall (Black Mass).
    • Ruca went for a cartwheel on the top rope, but Blair Davenport moved the rope to send Ruca crashing to the mat. This opened the way for Vice to hit a Black Mass on Ruca for the win.
    • After the match, Natalya cut a promo from the titantron and challenged Vice to an NXT Underground Match.
  • Ariana Grace met Gigi Dolin in the park, where she told Dolin that they would go dress shopping sh Dolin could become a "proper pageon queen".
  • Ridge Holland def. Joaquin Wilde via Pinfall (Hammerlock DDT).
    • Shawn Spears watched the match from the ramp.
  • Josh Briggs was checked by the medics backstage, where they told him that he was cleared to compete. Ivar met with Briggs and told him to take a couple of weeks and heel up, but Briggs responded by telling him to go back to Raw. Ivar challenged Briggs after the disrespect, which Briggs accepted.
  • There was a TikTok of Brinley Reece, Malik Blade & Edris Enofe in the gym ahead of Enofe & Blade's match against The Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar).
  • Thea Hail & Andre Chase spoke backstage where Chase admitted he threw the towel for Hail because he was worried about Hail getting injured, but lost all of Chase University's money because he truly believed Hail would outlast Tiffany Stratton. Hail apologized to Chase before the two embraced.
  • The Family (Tony D’Angelo, Adrianna Rizzo, Luca Crucifino & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo) came to the ring to cut a promo, where D’Angelo said that toughness came from longevity and he was aiming to go back to the top. No Quarter Catch (Charlie Dempsey, Myles Osborne & Damon Kemp) interrupted and said they were not fond of their business going public; however, D’Angelo took offense for interrupting them and almost saying their business was public. D’Angelo said that he thought Dempsey’s Heritage Cup looked nice before demanding Dempsey to pay up, but Dempsey said he would not let a low-life scumbag disgrace the cup. No Quarter Catch Crew & The Family brawled.

  • Ilja Dragunov came to the ring for his open challenge. The entire locker room brawled at ringside, but Je'Von Evans leaped over the broadcast table before leaping over Ilja Dragunov to get in the ring, officially set to face the NXT Champion.

  • NXT Championship Open Challenge: Ilja Dragunov (c) def. Je'Von Evans via Pinfall (Torpedo Moscow).
  • Karmen Petrovic was interviewed by Kelly Kincaid, who said that she would train Natalya ahead of her NXT Underground match next week. Lola Vice interrupted and said she would surprise Natalya & Karmen with who would be in her corner.
  • Sol Ruca met with Ava backstage, where she demanded a No Disqualification Match against Blair Davenport for next week. Ava granted the match.

  • Tatum Paxley def. Thea Hail (w/ Andre Chase, Riley Osbourne & Duke Hudson) via Pinfall (Crucifix Pin).
    • Jasmyn Nyx distracted the referee, allowing Jacy Jayne to sweep Hail's arm. Paxley saw the opening and got Hail in a Crucifix Pin for the win.
    • As Thea Hail brawled with Jacy Jayne & Jasmyn Nyx, Lyra Valkyria attacked Paxley from behind.
  • Roxanne Perez was interviewed backstage, where she did not mind seeing Paxley & Valkyria tear each other apart & would, maybe, give the survivor a title match before following up by making fun of Ava's abilities as a General Manager. Ava confronted Perez and booked a Triple Threat Match for the NXT Women's Championship for NXT Spring Breakkin.
  • Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) (w/ Karrion Kross, Scarlett & Paul Ellering) def. Malik Blade & Edris Enofe (w/ Brinley Reece) via Pinfall (Super Collider).
  • Arianna Grace went to a dress shop with Gigi Dolin, where Grace showed Dolin a dark green dress for Dolin to try. Dolin made some adjustments to the dress and wore the dress out of the store. Grace asked the cashiers if they took credit cards before pulling out a bunch of credit cards.
  • Ivar def. Josh Briggs via Pinfall (Doomsault).
  • NXT North American Champion Oba Femi was interviewed backstage by Kelly Kincaid, saying that Ivar challenging him to a match was an interesting proposition. Femi then slammed Oro Mensah to the wall as he walked to ringside.
  • There was a video package recapping the feud between Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes ahead of their Steel Cage Match in the main event of the show.
  • Carmelo Hayes was interviewed by Kelly Kincaid backstage, where he said that he would take everything away from Trick Williams's "ungrateful ass" and promised to make sure Williams would not make it to Night One of Spring Breakkin in one piece.
  • Steel Cage Match: Trick Williams def. Carmelo Hayes via Pinfall (Chair-Assisted Trick Shot Knee Strike).
    • Trick Williams climbed to the top of the cage and had a staredown with Ilja Dragunov, who was on the Raven's Nest. Williams stood tall to end the broadcast.
