Willow Nightingale Slams Mercedes Mone, Swerve Strickland Beats Brian Cage | AEW Fight Size

Here is your fight size update following AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

- TBS Champion Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Mone signed the contract for their title match at AEW Double or Nothing. They discussed their match, and Willow vowed not to let Mercedes walk in and take the title. Mercedes said that she should be the face of TBS. Mercedes slapped Willow, and Willow slammed Mone through a table.

Swerve Strickland Releases "Motion" Music Video

- AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland faced Brian Cage and emerged victorious.

- Christian Cage confronted Swerve Strickland. Nick Wayne attacked Strickland from blindside, and Killswitch took the fight to him. Wayne hit Strickland with a glass picture. Cage said he was forced to embarrass Strickland and targeted Strickland’s daughter. He rubbed Strickland’s blood on a picture of his daughter.

- The Young Bucks promoted their new shoes.

- Eddie Kingston confirmed that he was injured.

- Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson faced Jeff Cobb and Kyle Fletcher. Fletcher and Cobb attacked Moxley during his entrance. Danielson made the save, and they brawled at ringside. Moxley pinned Fletcher for the win.

- Konosuke Takeshita attacked Jon Moxley, and Claudio Castagnoli made the save.

- TNT Champion Adam Copeland was set to come to the ring. He was blindsided by Brody King and Buddy Matthews. Malakai Black grabbed a microphone and told Matthews to take Copeland’s wedding ring. Kyle O’Reilly tried to make the save, but King overpowered him. House of Black then ganged up on Copeland.

- A video package highlighted AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland.

- The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson) defeated Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal.

- In a post-match promo, the Young Bucks said Christopher Daniels was screwing up their attempt to clean things up in AEW. Matthew Jackson said Daniels was fired.

- Kazuchika Okada defended the AEW Continental Championship against Dax Harwood. Okada hit Harwood below the belt and hit the Rainmaker for the win.

- The Elite attacked Dax Harwood. Team AEW tried to make the save, but they were outnumbered. Darby Allin returned and was confirmed as Eddie Kingston's replacement in Team AEW.

- Jack Perry poured soda on Tony Schiavone.

- Malakai Black accepted Adam Copeland’s challenge and said he would have to bend the knee to the House of Black if he lost.

- HOOK returned and defeated Sebastian Wolfe. He called out Chris Jericho. Jericho and Big Bill came down. HOOK challenged Jericho to a title match, and Jericho said he had to work his way up again. HOOK took the fight to Jericho. Big Bill attacked him, and the Learning Tree ganged up on him. Katsuyori Shibata ran down for the save.

- AEW shared a preview of A Meal & a Match.

- HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata both made it clear that they wanted to get their hands on Chris Jericho. Samoa Joe confronted HOOK and said he was playing himself. HOOK said he would fight Samoa Joe.

- AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm beat Harley Cameron. Serena Deeb came to the stage and watched the match.

- Will Ospreay and AEW International Champion Roderick Strong spoke backstage ahead of their match at AEW Double or Nothing. Tensions rose as they went back and forth.

- Serena Deeb will face Anna Jay on the May 18 episode of AEW Collision.

Konosuke Takeshita commented on attacking Jon Moxley.

- Deonna Purrazzo will face Robyn Renegade on the May 18 episode of AEW Rampage.

- Chris Jericho sent a message to HOOK and said he had to get stitches.

- Darby Allin said he was not 100%.

- Christopher Daniels discussed his firing.

- Bryan Danielson addressed the crowd and praised Darby Allin.

- The Elite shared their thoughts on Darby Allin's return.
