One of the matches on the marquee at NXT Great American Bash on July 12th is Oba Femi defending the NXT Championship against Yoshiki Inamura.
Before the in-ring segment between Femi and Inamura on the 7/8 NXT, video messages aired from Keiji Muto (The Great Muta), Kaito Kiyomiya, Naomichi Marufuji, Ulka Sasaki, and IYO SKY. They all wished Inamura good luck in his title match against Femi and expressed that they believe he can become NXT Champion.
Through the WWE-NOAH relationship, Inamura made his way over to WWE.
In the segment going into Great American Bash, Inamura got the better of Oba after a physical exchange between Femi and Josh Briggs. Briggs stated that he would do everything in his power to ensure that Inamura leaves the PLE as champion.
