Carlos Silva Says TNA Wrestling Is ‘In A 60 To 90 Day Window’ To Get Media Rights Deal Done

TNA Wrestling has aired its weekly TNA iMPACT! show on AXS since 2019, but has consistently searched for a bigger platform. The promotion has utilized TNA+ and YouTube to help expand the reach of the program.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on The Ariel Helwani Show, TNA President Carlos Silva gave an update on TNA’s search for a new media rights deal.

“Along with our partners at AXS, Len [Asper], Andy Schuon, who runs AXS TV, we want to find a bigger platform. We have CAA helping us. We’re actively in the middle…if I can get a few things done, I’d love to tell you about the deals. We’re close. We’ve been working on it since the beginning of the year, really since I joined. It really has accelerated over the last 60 days. We’re working through it,” he said.

Asked how close an announcement could be, Silva replied, “I think we could be in a 60 to 90 day window to get something done. As you know, the media landscape is changing every single day and literally, week-to-week, things are changing. We just saw some other networks that are going to get sold again this week that are changing hands. You never know. It’s never done until the Is are dotted and Ts are crossed. We’re working hard at it.”

Silva noted that the deal would come into play at the end of 2025.

Asked if TNA would be going live each week, Silva said, “We’ve been asked by many partners that they’d like it to be live 52 weeks a year so we’re talking through how we would do that. Maybe it wouldn’t go live in January, straight away, 52 weeks, but we would certainly lean into that to try and make it happen.”

TNA iMPACT! has done live episodes throughout 2025.

Finally, Silva was asked if the show would remain on Thursdays.

“Could be up for grabs. You’d have to look at the crowded (landscape). You don’t want to go [says “collision” but unclear if referencing head-to-head with another show or AEW Collision] and you don’t want to start playing that game. Thursday has worked out well so far,” he said.

While making the media rounds, Silva said TNA Wrestling is looking for $10 million per year on a media rights deal.

Elsewhere during the interview, Silva explained the decision to fire Gail Kim. You can find his full comments here.
