Carlos Silva Responds To Fans Upset Over Trick Williams And Jacy Jayne Winning At TNA Slammiversary, ‘I’m Glad Fans Are Talking About It’

TNA Slammiversary was a success for TNA Wrestling in terms of buzz and attendance as the promotion drew its announced highest North American attendance ever.
Coming out of the event, many fans were disappointed that Trick Williams retained the TNA World Title, defeating Joe Hendry and Mike Santana in the main event, and that Jacy Jayne captured the TNA Knockouts Title by defeating Masha Slamovich.
Speaking to Tim on Battleground, TNA Wrestling President Silva was asked how he would respond to disappointed fans.
“How do you respond? You respond that I understand and I get it. If you saw the look on my face, that’s all part of wrestling. There were some great payoffs at Slammiversary with Leon (Slater) and there are going to be some great payoffs as we build again to Bound for Glory. These are the paths that happen as you build these matchups. For the fans, I guess what I would say is, I’m glad the fans are talking about it. That means we matter and they care. We care and we’re going to keep growing it together,” he said.
Trick and Jacy are set to appear on Tuesday’s NXT, where Trick is to be confronted by The Undertaker.
Fightful will have coverage of NXT beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
