Wyatt Sicks Retain WWE Tag Team Championships In TLC Match At SummerSlam
The Wyatts hold onto the gold.
The second match of the evening for night two of WWE’s SummerSlam Premium Live Event was a six-team TLC match for the WWE Tag Team Championships. The teams competing in the bout are listed as follows:
- The Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis) (c)
- Andrade & Rey Fenix
- #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa)
- Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom)
- Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin)
- The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)
There was a spot during the bout when a member from each team went through a table. It wrapped with Axiom sending himself and Angelo Dawkins through a table with a Spanish Fly.
Candice LeRae got involved to assist Gargano and Ciampa, but B-Fab entered the picture on behalf of The Street Profits to offset LeRae. Nikki Cross joined the mix and suplexed B-Fab off a ladder. LeRae regrouped and climbed up a ladder to retrieve the belts for #DIY. Montez Ford ended up shoving Ciampa into Gargano, and that sent Gargano into the ladder that LeRae was on. LeRae was sent out of the ring and through a ladder on the outside.
Erick Rowan entered the picture and brawled with The Street Profits. Fellow Wyatt Sicks member Uncle Howdy joined in and shoved #DIY and The Street Profits off their respective ladders. Howdy was taken out of the equation when Andrade hit a sunset bomb on him onto a ladder.
In the end, Lumis and Gacy retrieved the belts to continue their reign as WWE Tag Team Champions.
