Ricky Saints & Jacy Jayne Named NXT Captains, Mike Santana & Kelani Jordan Named TNA Captains For Elimination Matches At NXT vs. TNA Showdown
The team captains have been decided.
Starting the 9/30 edition of NXT on The CW was the newly crowned NXT Champion, Ricky Saints. Saints’ segment started with ‘you deserve it’ chants from the crowd. He stated that he bet on himself against the now-former champion Oba Femi, and it showed that the only person you need to put the chips on is yourself.
Joining Saints in the ring was the reigning NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne. She stated that they have bigger fish to fry, referring to the NXT vs. TNA Showdown event on October 7th.
NXT General Manager Ava made her way to the ring and revealed that Saints and Jayne will be the team captains for NXT in the Survivor Series-style matches at NXT vs. TNA Showdown.
TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella entered the picture, and he revealed that the men’s captain for TNA is Mike Santana, and the captain for the women’s team is the new TNA Knockouts World Champion, NXT talent Kelani Jordan.
