Conor McGregor has been suspended for a violation of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy.

Conor McGregor has been suspended for a violation of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy.

McGregor has had a litany of controversy surrounding him as of late as he was found legally liable for the sexual assault of Nikita Hand in an Irish civil suit as well as recently withdrawing from an attempted run for presidency in Ireland. Now, he has found himself in trouble with UFC’s Anti-Doping policy.

In an announcement on Tuesday, Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD) announced today that Conor McGregor, of Dublin, Ireland, has accepted an 18-month period of ineligibility for a violation of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy. McGregor failed to report his whereabouts for tests three times in 2024, which led to the violation.

McGregor will serve an 18 month period of not being allowed to compete. His period of ineligibility began on September 20th, 2024 (the date of his third whereabouts failure) and will conclude on March 20th, 2026. Due to the fact he was recovering from injury at the time, McGregor’s suspension was reduced from 24 months to 18.

Earlier this month, McGregor claimed that competing at the UFC’s White House event next June was a done deal. You can read more about that here.
