Jacy Jayne On Lainey Reid Joining Fatal Influence: “I Don’t Wanna Say ‘Upgrade’ Because That’s So Mean… She’s Gonna Do A Good Job”

Jayne speaks highly of the new Fatal Influence member.
As Jazmyn Nyx was on her way out of WWE, she was written off of television when she was ambushed by a mystery attacker. The attacker revealed herself to be Lainey Reid, who has since gone on to take Nyx’s spot in the Fatal Influence group with Fallon Henley and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne.
Jayne spoke about Reid’s addition to the group while on Busted Open. She did not want to use the word ‘upgrade’ because it sounds mean. Jayne joked that she is used to having new partners.
“I think it’s still too soon to really say anything. We had our first match — me and Lainey (Reid) together — last night. Before that, we had had a singles match and I felt we had great chemistry right off the bat. I definitely think Lainey is a huge… I don’t wanna say upgrade because that’s so mean but, she’s definitely gonna fit the part and she’s gonna do a good job. She’s a great worker. She’s like a sponge, she listens to everything, she takes everything in really well. But, I’m kind of used to new partners all the time. This isn’t anything new to me. It’s all part of adapting. Things change all the time. This is show business. Last-minute changes, things you never thought would happen. You just kind of have to go with the flow and figure it out as you go.”
