
Neón suffered an injury on the December 5th episode of CMLL Viernes Espectacular, after a Double Jump Moonsault to the outside.
Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) announced that Neón was injured following an attempt at his signature Double Jump Moonsault to the outside.
Since then, CMLL announced he was pulled from competing in all events this week due to his injury. They stated the following:
“CMLL informs fans that, due to the injury suffered by Neón during the event held last Friday, December 5, at Arena México, ‘El Asteroide del Ring’ will not be able to participate in his scheduled commitments on the following dates:
- Monday, December 8 – Arena Puebla.
- Tuesday, December 9 – Arena Coliseo in Guadalajara.
- Wednesday, December 10 – Toluca.
- Friday, December 12 – Arena Mexico.
We appreciate the public’s understanding and send our best wishes to Neón for a speedy recovery.”
The man known as El Asteroide del Ring was replaced by Atlantis on the 12/7 edition of CMLL Domingo Familiar, teaming with Sky Team (Místico & Máscara Dorada) against Hechicero, Soberano Jr. & Volador Jr. in the main event.
Since then, CMLL also announced that Atlantis Jr. will replace Neon by teaming with Sky Team at Arena Puebla.
He was scheduled to face Kevin Knight at CMLL Dream Matches on Friday, December 19. No update has been made on that match.
