John Skyler Praises Sinner & Saint, ‘Those Guys Are Great’

John Skyler discusses Sinner & Saint.

Skyler has shared the ring with the young tag team on two separate occasions, first facing them in a standard tag team match for an episode of TNA Xplosion in May 2024. The second match occurred on a November 2025 episode of TNA iMPACT, where Skyler and Jason Hotch shared the ring with Sinner & Saint, The System, and The Rascalz.

Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Skyler recalled his first match with Sinner & Saint.

“It’s cool. It’s a very nice compliment. Again, if your co-workers want to work with you that’s just the best. If your coworkers are dying to work with you, even better. But that match in Newport with Sinner & Saint, I remember it very vividly. We had a good time. We actually worked twice that day. We ended up going out and wrestling again. Those guys are great and I can’t wait to see what they do in TNA.”

Continuing on, Skyler said that he had no prior knowledge of Sinner & Saint before sharing the ring with them for the first time.

“Never even heard of them and that’s no offense to those guys. When you’re coming up in the independents, I’m very much in tune with what goes on in the Carolinas, Georgia, this area, Florida. I did not know who they were and that’s again, no slight to their talents because they’re obviously doing great. But to go out there and not really know who these guys are and go out there and produce a match like we did, that was a lot of fun. It’s just a testament to them, too. They’re a great tag team. They’re a very great tag team and you see that because every week I’m on Twitter scrolling through, I constantly see Sinner & Saint.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Skyler opened up about possibly doing commentary after his in-ring retirement. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
