UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall Undergoing Two Eye Surgeries
An update from Aspinall.
The last time that UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall fought was in October at UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi. He fought Ciryl Gane and sustained injuries when Gane poked him in the eyes.
An update from Aspinall was provided via his YouTube channel. The video was uploaded on Sunday, and he stated that by the time the video came out, he would have undergone surgery on one eye, and in January 2026, he will have surgery on the other eye.
“That’s the plan, that’s the plan,” Aspinall responded to his cameraman saying the focus is undergoing surgery and then bouncing back in 2026. “But by the time this is going out, I’ll probably have had one surgery on one side already. Next surgery’s coming mid-January so, we’re working towards getting back and that’s the plan.”
The next marquee UFC show is UFC 324 on January 24th. It will be headlined by Justin Gaethje versus Paddy Pimblett.
