As modern medicine and physical therapy has advanced, professional wrestler’s careers have begun to be longer when coupled with slowed down schedules. While this splits some fans depending on the talent involved, for MJF, it truly is a matter of talent.
While speaking to TMZ’s Inside The Ring in a new interview, MJF was asked for his thoughts on wrestlers working into their 50s and 60s, noting that he doesn’t have a problem with it if ‘the talent’s still there’.
“Do I personally like it? I don’t have a problem with it if the talent’s still there. I have a problem with it if you’re slow and you’re taking up a spot of a younger talent that should be in the spot you’re in just because you’re being selfish. I don’t have a problem with it.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, MJF spoke about his upcoming title defense against Hangman Page at AEW Revolution. You can read more about that here.
