CMLL Universal Title Phase 1 Set for 4/3 Viernes Espectacular
The first phase of the 2026 Universal Championship was announced for the April 3rd edition of CMLL Viernes Espectacular.
Máscara Dorada, Flip Gordon & Averno retained their titles on the March 31 edition of CMLL Martes de Arena Mexico. As a result, the three champions will face each other to kick off the 2026 edition of the Universal Championship on the April 3rd edition of Viernes Espectacular. The tournament finals will take place on April 24 at the 63rd Arena México Anniversary event. More qualifiers will be announced throughout the weeks.
The show will also feature Thunder Rosa returning to CMLL, teaming with Marcela & India Sioux. They will face Persephone, Olympia, & Princesa Sugehit. Mistico & Jetspeed defending their AEW Trios Titles against The Don Callis Family will headline the show. The Viernes Espectacular updated card is listed below.
