Kabuki Warriors Say They Were Told They Might Fill In For The Bellas If Nikki Bella Couldn’t Compete

Fans didn’t see the Kabuki Warriors (Kairi Sane & Asuka) at WrestleMania as they were not scheduled to compete, but they were on standby.

There was a lot of speculation leading into WrestleMania 42 that Nikki Bella wouldn’t be able to compete due to an ankle injury. According to the Kabuki Warriors, they were ready if called upon.

The two revealed the following information while speaking to NeitroV.

Kairi: Rumor has it that Nikki Bella’s ankle hasn’t fully recovered yet.

Asuka: Right, right! We were told we might be able to fill in for that match, so we were on standby just in case.

Kairi: The chances aren’t zero yet, right?

Asuka: Exactly. It might still be possible, so we’re staying ready and waiting.

Kairi: We’ve actually prepared brand new ring gear just for WrestleMania

In the end, a returning Paige replaced Nikki, teaming with Brie Bella to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
