Kendal Grey reflects on the NXT locker room’s reactions to Sol Ruca’s big spot on last week’s edition of WWE NXT.
On the April 21st edition of WWE NXT last week, Sol Ruca and Zaria would meet in a Last Woman Standing match that would culminate in Sol being pushed from a raised platform in the WWE Performance Center by Zaria, crashing through a table below.
While speaking to the Mark Hoke Show in a new interview, Kendal Grey spoke about the spot, noting that it left the NXT roster ‘mouth wide open speechless’.
“Back there, we were all watching, like, speechless. We were just mouth wide open speechless. We didn’t know how to react in that moment, she comes back, she has a towel on her head, and she’s like, ‘heck yeah!’ She’s smiling. She’s awesome… but definitely a scary moment for all of us. Just concern for her. Obviously, that could be really, really bad. It was bad, but it could always be worse. So knowing that she came back with a positive mind and smiling and stuff was a good reassuring moment, because all of us definitely were scared.”
Elsewhere in a recent interview with Fightful, Joe Hendry likened Kendal to Kurt Angle. You can read more about that here.
