Shane Haste Defending GHC Heavyweight Title Against KENTA At NOAH’s 5/13 Show

Haste’s first title defense.
After 175 days, Yoshiki Inamura’s GHC Heavyweight Championship reign came to an end. He put the title on the line against Shane Haste at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Spring Mayhem show.
The result saw Haste put Inamura away with the Bomb Valley Death to secure the win and the GHC Heavyweight Title.
After the match, Haste was joined in the ring by his White Raven Squad factionmates KENTA, Tetsuya Endo, and HAYATA. Haste offered his first title defense to KENTA. He stated that he wanted a rematch from their 2013 bout in NOAH when KENTA defeated Haste to retain the GHC Heavyweight Title.
KENTA accepted, and the match was made official for NOAH’s May 13th event. Also on that show, the former champion Yoshiki Inamura will go one-on-one with OZAWA.

In March, KENTA told Inamura that he would be bringing someone with ‘WWE experience’ to NOAH to challenge for the GHC Heavyweight Title, and that individual was Haste.
The plan was a success as Haste is the new GHC Heavyweight Champion, and he’s repaying KENTA by giving him the first crack at the title.
