Kofi Kingston Departs WWE

Kofi Kingston is leaving WWE.

Fightful has confirmed that Kofi Kingston has departed WWE.

Kingston was part of New Day alongside Xavier Woods and Grayson Waller. He last wrestled on television on the April 17 episode of SmackDown, teaming with Waller in a loss to WWE Tag Team Champions Damian Priest and R-Truth.

Fightful Select and Cory Hays from Bodyslam have learned that New Day members Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston are leaving WWE. Fightful Select was told they mutually decided to part ways.”

Kingston has been moved to the alumni section of the WWE website.

Kingston signed with WWE in 2006 and is one of the most decorated superstars in WWE history. He is a former Undisputed WWE Champion, a four-time Intercontinental Champion, a 14-time Tag Team Champion, and three-time United States Champion.

He famously won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 to cap off KofiMania.
