Chelsea Green Recalls Being Called To Raw While On The Way To Visit Her Sick Grandmother, Wanting To Make Jade Cargill Look Good

Chelsea Green always wants to make her opponent look good, even on short notice and tough circumstances.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Chelsea recalled how she was called into Raw on short notice and how she wanted to make the most of the opportunity.

“One time, I actually got called to Raw. I was on my way on a 16-hour journey home to see my grandmother, who was in the hospital doing terribly. She was 92 years old, and I had literally just about landed. I landed in Calgary and was going to go to my next flight. They called me into Raw to lose to Jade in 30 seconds. I thought, ‘If I don’t bump my ass off, this was all for nothing.’ God forbid my grandmother passes away or something terrible happens. I want to know I went to work, I turned around, and I made Jade and her finish look the best it’s ever looked. That clip of me taking Jade’s finish is always used in all her packages and my packages. I did the same thing when they called me in to stand on the side with Sonya Deville was wrestling Becky. I had to stand there and they said, ‘You’re going to take a couple of barricades.’ I thought, ‘I’m going to look like I’m dying.’ You have to because if you don’t ump your butt off for those people, you’re just making yourself look bad as well,” she said.

The match against Jade took place on the April 8, 2024 episode of WWE Raw.
