Paul Heyman Reveals Undisputed WWE Title Match Against Cody Rhodes Was The Favor He Owed To Gunther

Paul Heyman reveals the favor he owed to Gunther.
In April, Gunther attacked Seth Rollins after the latter struck Paul Heyman with a chair. A match between them was later booked for WrestleMania 42, where Gunther emerged victorious.
It was also revealed that Heyman owed Gunther a favor for saving him from Rollins.
On the 5/8 WWE SmackDown, Gunther officially joined the brand. During a segment between Heyman and Cody Rhodes on this week’s show, the former gave The American Nightmare a contract for a title match against Gunther.
He said that the favor he owed to The Ring General was to set up a match between them. Rhodes wanted to fight Gunther right there, but Heyman said that the contract was for Clash in Italy later this month.
