Buddy Matthews Scheduled For World Series Wrestling Shows In October & November
Buddy Matthews is back in the mix and is scheduled for World Series Wrestling dates.
It was on May 15th that Buddy Matthews made his return at World Series Wrestling’s ‘Rise Against’ show in Australia. Matthews got physical but said he’s not fully cleared from his ankle injury and that he’d be good to go by October.
Matthews had been out since February 2025. He suffered an ankle injury at AEW Grand Slam Australia.
World Series Wrestling announced Matthews for dates in October and November. He is set for the following shows:
- October 29th in Auckland, New Zealand
- October 30th in Brisbane, Australia
- October 31st in Adelaide, Australia
- November 1st in Melbourne, Australia
- November 2nd in Sydney, Australia
World Series Wrestling wrote:

Matthews is still under contract with All Elite Wrestling. There is no word on when he’ll be returning to in-ring action for the company.
