After a decade away from the octagon, UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey returned to MMA under Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions banner.
She faced Gina Carano, and in 17 seconds, Rousey scored the victory via submission with an armbar. There were criticisms of the marquee fight being only 17 seconds. Rousey responded to those critics while on Kay Adams’ Up & Adams Show:
“First off, it’s my third fastest fight. What are you talking about? What were you expecting?”
After her victory, Rousey said she’s going back into retirement. During the aforementioned interview, Rousey addressed a callout from Holly Holm, who handed Rousey her first loss in the UFC.
