Charlie (Dakota Kai) Agrees That She Needs To Add Last Name To Complete Her Ring Name
Charlie agrees that she needs to add a last name.
It was in May 2025 that Dakota Kai was let go from WWE. She returned to wrestling in March 2026 under her nickname Charlie. She’s competed in two matches thus far.
Charlie was interviewed by D.S. Shin of Ring The Belle and spoke about people feeling that she needs to alter her ring name.
“I keep hearing people say I need to add a last name because Charlie by itself — and I agree, I agree but I can’t just be like, okay, I’m Charlie Brooks, you know what I mean? It has to be something — so yeah, I hear you and I understand that by itself, it sounds very, like, meh. It is my actual nickname. It’s under construction. We’ll get back to it.”
Charlie has wrestled Shotzi Blackheart and AEW’s Kris Statlander since coming back to wrestling.
