Gisele Shaw Talks CMLL Debut, Says Wrestling Is Magic To Her Right Now
Gisele Shaw reflects on her CMLL debut.
Shaw made her debut for the promotion back in February, as she defended the Maple Leaf Pro Women’s Canadian Championship against Sanely. This was a part of Shaw’s ongoing reign with the title that started all the way back in May 2025.
Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Shaw talked about wrestling for CMLL and how wrestling feels like magic for her right now.
“Man, that was so cool, too. Obviously there’s a partnership between CMLL and MLP now. So I was fortunate enough to be the one to represent MLP and that was so surreal. It took me 11 years to get into Mexico. I’ve tried so much and I was like, ‘Oh, my God, I want to go to Mexico, I want to go Mexico,’ but I feel like CMLL, they’ll find you. I think that’s the path to CMLL. It’s not very like, ‘Hey, I’m going to message them or something,’ or whatever. CMLL is very like, ‘We’ll find you.’ Wrestling in front of 7,000 or 8,000 people on a Tuesday night? Like, excuse me? I keep saying magic, but yeah, maybe I am really living my best life. Because I feel like I’m just so happy and it just feels like magic right now. Like wrestling is magic right now.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Shaw revealed that she is still a free agent. Check out her full comments on the matter by clicking here.
