Jonathan Gresham Details Upcoming Atlanta Seminar, ‘I Want It To Be A Community Of People That Subscribe To The Style’

Jonathan Gresham wants to move the sport forward.

In August, Gresham will host a seminar in Atlanta alongside big names like Adam Priest, Ryan Clancy, and Darian Bengston. This has been promoted under a style/phrase that Gresham coined a few years back — Modern Age Grappling.

Speaking with Fightful for a new interview, ‘The Octopus’ spoke in depth about the session.

“The one thing I did want to bring up before we take off is the platform that I am working on. It does not have a name yet. It will be revealed in time, but the style is called modern age grappling. This is very near and dear to my heart. We’re having a seminar to kind of kick it off on August 5th. People that are a part of it is Ryan Clancy, he’s amazing. I think when he gets back from his injury, he’s gonna, I think, shoot off really quickly. Darian Bengston and Adam Priest. These are three of my favorite people to work with. I think of them all as friends. But they’re all coming to Atlanta to help me kick off modern age grappling. So to me, this is not just a style. I want it to be a community of people that subscribe to the style. So this is not just gonna be a seminar. It’s gonna be a meeting place for us to talk and discuss how to move the style forward. So that is it.”
