Kenny Omega and Zack Sabre Jr will clash at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
The match was announced on AEW Dynamite Summer Blockbuster. A video package played of ZSJ issuing the challenge. Excalibur stated that Omega knew the challenge was coming, and had already accepted, making the bout official.
Kenny Omega is 2-0 in singles matches against ZSJ. They last met in 2018 in the G1 Climax with Omega picking up the victory.
