Daniel Cormier Responds To Alleged Tweet Where He Showed Screenshots Of Eric Trump Asking If Fights Are Rigged

Before UFC Freedom 250 at the White House got underway, there was plenty of controversy online involving Daniel Cormier.

Cormier allegedly tweeted and deleted a post showing screenshots of allegedly Eric Trump seeking betting advice and asking if the fights are rigged. Cormier captioned the posted and screenshots, “I’m probably going to get a lot of flak for bringing this to light, however I refuse to stay silent. The UFC is a sport that I am deeply passionate about I will not tolerate this type of insider behavior. Shame on anyone trying to ruin this beautiful event.”

Many prominent names in the MMA community got a video or screenshot of the tweet, and replies to a deleted tweet exist. Others have said the tweet is fake and never existed, that Cormier was hacked, or that it wasn’t actually Eric Trump who sent the DMs.

Cormier did tweet later in the evening, “Are people really this dumb?” seemingly in question of the alleged tweet.

Eric Trump has denied sending DMs to Cormier.

“This is completely fake! I have never reached out to Daniel. In fact, this is scary,” he wrote on social media.

Daniel Cormier and the UFC haven’t issued further comment.
