Layla El looks back on working with Mae Young During 2010’s throwback edition of WWE Monday Night RAW for her last match.
During 2010’s ‘Old School’ edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, LayCool would face off with Mae Young, with Mae labelling the tag team of Layla and Michelle McCool as ‘bitches’ and more before facing off with them in the ring.
While speaking to Denise Salcedo in a new interview, Layla El spoke about some of her favorite memories in pro wrestling, recalling working with Mae Young for her final match on 2010’s old school RAW, noting that the WWE Hall of Famer would go ‘completely off script.’
“Okay, one of them would have to be one of the legend shows. It was with Mae Young. If you remember, she came out there. It was a segment with LayCool. I don’t know, she completely went off script, and she was like, ‘you little bitches,’ and stuff like that, and she shocked me. So I would love to relive that again. That was the most funniest thing that’s ever happened, and it was just like… it was just (this) iconic kind of thing.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Layla spoke about how WWE has set her up ‘for life.’ You can read more about that here.
