Maddy Morgan reflects on the moment of being offered a WWE tryout earlier this year and how it felt to attend it and learn from it.

Morgan is an 18 year old talent from the UK who has already garnered substantial experience around the world, not only in the United Kingdom, a run in Japan with Marigold and more.

While speaking to A2TheK in a new interview, Maddy Morgan was asked about finding out about the tryout and her experience participating in it.

“I got told about the tryout, I was traveling in Japan and I was on a bus and I got a message asking if are you free for a chat anytime soon? I was like, I’m stuck on a bus for the next six hours and I don’t really want to have this conversation surrounded by people. So we got back to the hotel room and I got told that I was getting the opportunity to have a tryout and I was pacing up and down my room. I was in tears and then trying to keep, obviously again, you’re trying to keep yourself cool and professional. I was like, ‘thank you so much for this opportunity. Like, thank you,’ and then I got off the phone and I kind of had a minute and then, I phoned my mum and she was driving in the car with my grandma. So it was just like on speaker, and I was like, ‘mum, I’ve got to try out.’ She like, she had to pull over and she was crying. My mum was crying. My grandma was like, ‘what? What’s going on?’ Then I called my best friend, Cece, and she was crying as well, buzzing. She doesn’t wear fake eyelashes like me, so her mascara was everywhere. Because that’s, like, she’s the person who I’ve grown up with in wrestling, and she’s, like, she’s been with me to the clashy castles and, like, basically everywhere with me. So she’s been, like, the rock throughout the whole journey of wrestling for me, even stealing her last name. But, yeah, it was…. finding out was incredible, and then just to even be there at the PC, that was amazing as well. The whole experience, I feel like I gained so much knowledge over, I think it was three days, three or four days. it was incredible to just be around. The coaches were amazing. Everyone was so supportive throughout the duration of the tryout. Everyone hyping each other up, making sure that everyone… was giving it the role, which is obviously you’re trying to do, but then you’re under so much pressure as well because you’re like, this is my dream. So being able to have everyone there to kind of support you throughout it, that was the main thing for me, the atmosphere that was brought along with the tryout.”

Powerlifter Emilie Mouchet recently opened up about turning down a WWE deal following a tryout. You can read more about that here.
