Don Callis On Indie Promotions Joining MyAEW: That’s Instant Credibility

Don Callis touts the importance of MyAEW.

Aside from Maple Leaf Pro, other indie promotions like Limitless Wrestling, Warrior Wrestling, and PRODUCE are all big partners for the MyAEW streaming service. GCW’s Brett Lauderdale even told Fightful earlier this summer that he’s had talks with the streamer.

Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Don Callis said that promotions could gain instant credibility just by being associated with MyAEW.

“Oh, I think it’s huge. AEW has incredible brand value and if you’re an independent promotion anywhere in the world and you can be associated with All Elite Wrestling and something that Tony Khan has created—wow. That’s, to me, instant credibility, instant buzz. I just think it’s really cool and maybe the Don Callis family is going to take over Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling and then I’ll sell it back to D’Amore and Tony Khan. I don’t know. Hey, listen, I’ve executed coups before. I did it in Impact and I’ll do it in AEW when the time is right.”
