Kay Lee Ray Discusses Post-WWE Run: “It’s Good To Have Fun Again”
Kay Lee Ray is excited to be a free agent.
After seven years as a contracted WWE wrestler, Kay Lee Ray’s time with the company came to an end when she was released in April 2026.
She is now back on the independent scene and has worked dates for Pro-Wrestling: EVE and Revolution Pro Wrestling thus far.
While doing a virtual signing for K & S WrestleFest, Ray commented on how she feels her post-WWE run has gone.
“Have been in a contract for seven years with WWE. I was in a contract before that for a year. I think I just need to be me for a while. I think I need to just enjoy; gone back out on the indies and doing some stuff and see where we go from there.” She continued, “I’m having so much fun the past few months. It’s good to have fun again.”
Ray is scheduled to go on a three-show tour with PROGRESS Wrestling in September.
