Chelsea Green Wins Ladder Match To Become Interim WWE Women’s Champion At SummerSlam
The Interim WWE Women’s Champion is Chelsea Green.
There was a Ladder match that took place on night two of WWE SummerSlam to crown an Interim WWE Women’s Champion.
The current champion, Rhea Ripley, is out of action due to a meniscus injury, but WWE has stated that she could be back sooner than expected.
Competing in the Interim Title bout were the following names:
- Tiffany Stratton (WWE Women’s United States Champion)
- Jade Cargill
- Charlotte Flair
- Chelsea Green
- Lash Legend
One of the highlights saw Stratton on top of a ladder, and Green pushed her friend off. Green proceeded to make the climb, but Cargill’s faction mates Michin and B-Fab took to the ring to stop Green.
As Flair and Cargill were battling on top of a ladder, they knocked each other off. Green would then make the trek back up the ladder to become the new Interim WWE Women’s Champion. As of this writing, Green will face Rhea Ripley to determine an Undisputed Champion.
