CM Punk Addresses Moonsault Attempt At WWE SummerSlam

Punk spoke about the moonsault.
The semi-main event of SummerSlam night one saw Cody Rhodes challenge CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Punk ended up retaining after Randy Orton made his return and RKO’d Rhodes.
One of the other match highlights saw Punk attempt a moonsault from the top rope. The maneuver did not connect as Punk’s body curved and he landed away from Rhodes.
That was brought up during Punk’s interview on ESPN SportsCenter, and he shared that he was paying homage to Terry Funk.
“I don’t know,” Punk responded when the interviewer said his moonsault was incredible. “I could take that either way. It was incredibly bad or it was so bad, it was good. I don’t know. But, a little homage. A lot of homages tonight. That was for Terry (Funk).”
The next challenger to Punk’s title is Kevin Owens. WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque shared his thoughts about the forthcoming clash.
