Edson Barboza Retires From MMA

Edson Barboza has called it a career.

At UFC 330, Edson Barboza announced his retirement from the sport after losing to Esteban Ribovicsr. Barboza was finished by Ribovicsr in the second round.

Barboza, 40, retires with a 24-14 record. He lost his last four fights before retirement. In his UFC career, he won Fight of the Night ten times, Performance of the Night twice, and Knockout of the Night once for his highlight-reel spin kick on Terry Etim.

Barboza made his UFC debut in November 2010 at UFC 123 with a 6-0 record. He won his UFC debut over Mike Lullo with leg kicks.

His last victory came in October 2023 against Sodiq Yusuff.
